1970s KODACHROMES
A reflection of personal experiences and, to an extent, triggered by the passing of my father from aggressive thyroid cancer in late 2012. I returned to slides of my family’s time living overseas in the late 70s. I scanned the slides, heighted saturation and painted varying sized works, with details using 000-size brushes.
The experience of death and losing someone so close brings to the surface the value of family, friends and our relationships with those significant to us.
