"My eye is drawn to the way larger landscapes can be framed by the boundaries of our urban life. I'm constantly inspired by my own backyard, from the level of a single flower to the broader views beyond.

"These paintings emerged from a few nights of spectacular sunsets during the summer of 2016/17. Small studies of backyard silhouettes against opalescent clouds paved the way for larger, more detailed skyscapes."
